As Jaymz mentioned on the other site, the series Prehistoric Park will be shown on UK television. *Again wishes I could be in the UK* According to amazon.co.uk, the DVD is scheduled to be released on 28 Aug 06 (Region 2). I'll have to check when it comes out on this side of the Atlantic. I'm sure my dinosaur DVD collection will be expanding soon EDIT: Neither amazon.com or amazon.ca have any indication as to when Prehistoric Park will be released *Must get Region 0 DVD player*

I missed the first episode, and the repeat. I'll be watching this week as I won't be busy.

Let us know if it's good, and if Nigel uses the word 'kerfuffle' ;D

For those of us unfortunate enough to live in places where Prehistoric Park is not yet being broadcast , here are some cool links I found. A parasaurolophus wallpaper. If this doesn't make our fearless admin abandon SW and return to dinosaurs then the cause is hopeless. www.citv.co.uk/pp/fun-stuff/wallpapers/desktop_3.jpgMore wallpapers here: www.citv.co.uk/pp/fun-stuff/wallpapers/Nigel being chased by tyrannosaurs, and another with Nigel being chased by a woolly rhinoceros. Excerpts from Episode 1: prehistoricpark.itv.com/episode1.htmNigel catches an ornithomimus--with a sock; a t-rex pack vs a triceratops herd fight. Papo rex however is miffed, seeing that the t-rexes portrayed looking nothing like him. (i.e. the CGI is not JP quality just yet) Bullyland rex, however, is more pleased at the resemblance. The CGI is nowhere near as good on the show as it shows on the wallpaper. False advertising! ;D

Poor Mr. Kerfuffle. The reviews of the DVD have been scathing. Here are some quotes from amazon.co.uk: "The quality of the graphics is very low rent compared to previous ventures from the same team who produced the `Walking With...' series of shows. None of the creature effects stand up to any level of scrutiny and this is repeatedly masked by the excessive use of motion blurs and camera shake. In particular, the interaction between the cg and practical elements of the show is virtually non existent. "Low production values aside, the program is plagued by many other problems - notably reprehensibly bad palaeontology and highly speculative science coupled with nonsensical scenarios and shaky acting." "Although ludicrously entertaining and sometimes educational "Prehistoric Park" raises as many questions as it answers. None of the extras on the disc (mostly the usual making off documentary) are any help either. It's a brave but ultimately silly and unbelievable attempt to inject some awe and wonder into the TV schedule."

Heh-heh, I was watching the DVD of Prehistoric Park and I noticed that it was badly edited. One minute he is driving in a vehicle with the steering wheel on the left, the next frame the steering wheel is on the right ;D

I watched the first episode of PP this week. It was pretty good, except with the jeep steering wheel LOL. The CGI was nothing compared to CBD and WWD. I thought the tractor they had in the Triceratops pen at the end would lift or tilt when "Theo" ran into it. My rating so far, 7 out of 10. Next week Nigel goes after a Mammoth.

Hope you like mammoths, because *spoiler* 'Martha' the mammoth appears in practically every episode after this. Heck, the series could be subtitled The Perils and Travails of Martha. *Spoiler* Feathered dinos in Episode 3 too

I watched part of PP yesterday and am watching WwD now, and I find it depressing to note that a series produced in 1999 has much better computer graphic effects than one made in 2006. Either BBC is more careful about its programs than ITV, or the production budget has shrunk in the interim
