As most of you know, I have an abhorrence of feathered dinosaurs; unfortunately, it is the trend nowadays to represent one of my favorite dinosaurs, the therizinosaurus, as feathered as a chicken. Uggh. Therefore, I decided to 'modify' the therizinosaur from great Dinos/Safari by hacking off its feathers. It took much longer than I thought, and the results are not yet satisfactory--I need to do some sandpapering and puttying and repainting, especially in the tail area. But here's what I've done: the 'original' therizinosaurus: and the 'authentic' therizinosaurus: Hope I improved matters, at least aesthetically.

Thanks And here's the einiosaurus I'm doing. It's almost done, except for the nose horn, for which I have to buy some putty. I started with this styracosaurus: and here's the einiosaurus, so far. I know the painting is somewhat crude--I have shaky hands--and in hindsight the brown for the frill horns is too--well, brown, I should have used bone color. Then again, given that the styracosaur base is aquamarine there's little that doesn't clash with that base colour. Anyway, here's how it looks like now, pending the nose horn: Suggestions are welcome (I think) ;D

nice! aves apoxie putty is good for re-sculpting. madinachina-saurs make really good practice customs cause you can easily get another one. ;D do you have an x-plus styracosaurus? that would make a better model. I see them sometimes on ebay for cheap.

X-Plus styracosaurus? The dino itself is cheap, but shipping to Canada can reach $15 because of the size I'll look around if they have that apoxie putty, there are a few model stores around here. Now I know what to do with all those madinachinasaurs I have lying around

Here's the 'finished' einiosaurus. It's not perfect--the horn is not aligned properly with the beak--but until Papo releases an einiosaurus I'll take it Besides, it's my first dino custom ;D
