Darn, I just missed a new (I think) program on Discovery called Dinolab--I was just able to catch them talking about the feeding habits of the brontosaurus (they called it some strange name like apatosaurus though). There were some new CGI of the brontosaur in the lab, as if interacting with the scientists, but other CGI images were from When Dinosaurs Roamed America and Dinosaur Planet, so it isn't WWD class. Still, the profile on the Discovery Canada website mentions that they also showed a plesiosaur, a trike, a pterosaur, etc. Though supposedly they make the dubious claim that t-rex was a slow creature. (For goodness sake an elephant can run 40 mph, and no one says it is engineered for speed; why shouldn't a t-rex, which is designed for running, not go faster? ) Gregory Paul was right--most paleontologists nowadays know more about computer programming than about, well, dinosaurs . Still, any dinosaur documentary is worth watching Hey, there's a repeat after midnight, so finally something decent to watch on the telly Edit: I take that back. It's a disgrace, an utter mess. I feel sorry for any kid who has to sit thru that malarkey. They even garbled, intentionally misunderstood, and quoted out of context the experts they consulted! Even I know a troodon could never have encountered a desmatosuchus!

Indeed, I also caught this show and was quite unimpressed with it. I only liked the part with the Rex in the cattle liner. It was just horrible.
