Hi
I am new here and have decided to start collecting dinosaurs figures again (All of them Sauropods, Theropods, Ceratopsians, Hadrosaurs, mammals...so on) My dad used to buy the Starlux ones for me in Europe when I was a kid (Wife says I am still one ;-) I am very scale obsessed and would like all my figures to match. Shall I go with Schleich and carnegie at 1/40? Who else makes 1/40? Is 1/40 the scale with the most choice? Any good mail order that you can recommend with good prices and special offers would be great.
Thanks a lot
Patrick

Welcome For 1:40 the only ones using that scale consistently are Schleich (although they seem larger than 1:40, like the new allosaurus) and Carnegie (although some of the dinos are actually 1:10). Bullyland is all over the place, as is Papo. The retired Battat/Boston Museum line was the most faithful to the 1:40 scale. Invicta was supposed to be something like 1:45 but the actual figures weren't that consistent I've read

Depending on your location (shipping costs are usually the ones that give me problems ), I'd suggest TGFtoys (I usually buy my dinosaurs from them), then Dinofarm, Healthstones, and Link and Pin Hobbies Though for the Battat/Boston Museum figures about the only source would be eBay. You can also order directly from Safari's website safariltd.com, though I've never used Shopatron before.

Yup, Papo dinosaurs are very much worth collecting, even as exceptions to the 1/40 scale
