So I was looking where to get a 2nd Kinto Allo, and went to Toyosaurus. When I was reading about the Kinto Collection, I came across this: And in 2006, a new group of 7 figures will be released! The figures to be released include Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops skeletons, a Carnotaurus, a Spinosaurus, an Iguanodon, a Dilophosaurus and a Velociraptor! When? There is only one month left in 2006! Has this line been pushed to 2007? Is it even happening?

Unfortunately those dinos were actually supposed to be released back in 2005. There's nothing about the new releases on the Japanese site, so the notice in linkandpinhobbies that the line has been 'indefinitely delayed' still holds I doubt they'll be released, Kinto has other priorities now.

The companies that produce Dinos are getting slimmer and slimmer. Hopefully when JPIV comes out more companies will release Dinosaur toys.

I also thought that Kinto may be worried that the release of the new figures will cannibalize the sales of their desktop figures. Most of the Favorite Collection figures are almost the same (except for size) as their Desktop collection counterparts, which cost 4 or 5 times the price. Plus Kinto has been plagued with dinosaur manufacturing problems lately--their Yunnanosaurus (sp?) vs. Dilophosaurus statue was rejected by the US distributors because of poor quality control, and the same thing happened to their georamas. It is indeed sad that dinosaur releases are dependent on when or if JPIV is released

Not from the "Favorite" line of Kinto, but their desktop line-- a spinosaurus from Michael Trcic: Is it just me, or is its color scheme very close to the Dino Valley Spino? and a battle scene of a pair of allosaurs attacking a sauropod: Available January 15. I have this sad feeling that Kinto will no longer produce the Favorite toy line but instead stick with the more profitable and expensive desktop line

I just wish Kinto would release the spino as a "Favorite" model. That spino will probably cost way over $100
