But since these are very cool looking dinos, I bet some sellers will try jack up the prices.

Sellers on eBay will almost certainly charge twice the market value when they are first released. When they become available on healthstones or tgftoys, prices should stabilize.

I'm so horrified with the Oviraptor that I refuse to even consider buying it ;D The Velociraptor on the other hand is perfect AY AY AY. ;D Even if the Velociraptor DID have feathers like it should, it still wouldn't be perfect. The hands are all wrong. The correct hand anatomy should see the hands facing each other and tucked backwards, as in the WWD Utahraptor (one I will be blogging on soon...) and Favorite Deinonychus. Is the owner of the Dinosaur Collector site a member of this forum by the way? I wonder where they got the pics from - I couldn't find 'em on the Safari website...

I don't think the owner of the Dinosaur Collector site is a member here, alas He knows the owner of Safari and the sculptor of the Carnegie line, though, which is perhaps how he got access to the preview photos. Heh-heh, I did once own the Favorite Deinonychus. It's a nice figure, but I had to dispose of it because of the feathers on its arms ;D

Safari dinos are available from tgftoys, linkandpinhobbies, dinofarm, healthstones, and occasionally toyosaurus. EBay will also have them, and bargains can be had for some of the more common figures.

Here in Vancouver some local specialty toy stores have them, but they carry only a few dinos from the Carnegie line. Some of the websites I mentioned have brick-and-mortar stores which you can call to place an order, which I think can be paid for by money order.

The Safari Giganotosaurus, etc. have been listed on linkandpinhobbies.com, although there are no dates when some of them would be available, just "New for 2008". The giganotosaurus and the diplodocus are apparently Carnegie Museum figures, while the rest are in the Wild Safari line.
