I took this pictures last week. There are a lot more, but only a few made it.
There's a bit of everything. IMO there are some very good ones, average and others that now I'm really disappointed with, but heh, I'll let you guys judge them.
Oh, just wondering, one of these is one of my new favorites, because the way it turned out with light and all, it looks like a movie scene actually (and it's actually based on one). Let's see if you guys share my point of view.
I'll explain if there is any digital effects on them.
First:
Just a simple picture of my Papo rex with a Trike in the background. I love it just because how massive it looks. It's almost as if it were alive. Nothing digital here.
Second:
Based on Dino Crisis. The Rex was digitally enlarged. It does look OK in this size, but if you look at it on it's original size you'll see it's a bit more detailed and looks more menacing. Here's a link: homepage.mac.com/rickraptor/dioramas/rrnewdioorig.jpg
Third:
Similar to the one before. Only that this one is not digital. I had a pretty hard time placing the Rex and zooming in and out to get an optical illusion, to make it bigger. The effect is nice, I think, but I had to digitally blur a bit the Rex to make it look a bit farer than what it was actually.
Fourth:
A Rex family. She brings a new prey home and he roars in happiness. To make it creepy I turned the saturation of the colors down. The blood looks fake, but it was made in purpose to look a bit Sin City-like. I didn't do it as well, but I came up with something interesting.
Fifth:
I based this one on what happens the second after Muldoon says "Clever Girl". It's one of my greatest achievements so far, because of the light (natural, no PS), poses and of course the awesome Papo Raptor. My new favorite toy.
Sixth:
A self portrait ;D It looks as if the raptor used the grass as camouflage and was about to kill a prey. No PS as well.
Seventh:
A new way of shooting the classic Rex Vs Spino fight, showing a part of one of the dinos and the fight on the background. It's more artistic rather than anything. No PS.
Eighth:
Just a raptor and Ian Malcolm. As in TLW. I was singing, while doing the dio, that song which says: "Why can't we be friends?" LOL ;D No PS either
Last but not least:
Based on the fire scene of TLW. The effect didn't hit what was it's aim, but the area where the raptor is being kicked and stomped looks interesting. There is a close up version of this diorama.
Enjoy.
