They have also come up with a deluxe line, and the spino and baryonyx in that line is a definite step up from their 07 release. Here's the deluxe rex: Bayonyx; But the best for me will be the agustinia deluxe:

!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! I wonder where they got their inspiration from It looks like they have put the eyes too far back - again. But otherwise, I'm excited!

the agustinia is wonderful, but the rex is kinda fat and the baryonyx reminds me a gallimimus. The sea monster above is very good too, though the eyes are kinda weird. Anyway ,these are good, but there are some details I didn't like.

It's very ironic, the Rex resembles the JP Rex

The Spino isn't up to snuff, IMO.

And I'm not certain how this is supposed to be better than Papo:

I like the Rex(great pose!) and Baryonyx a lot, but I'm baffled as to how they could do a good job with one spinosaurid and then mess the other one up so badly...

Hmm ... *looks at the baryonyx* *Checks latest issue of Prehistoric Times* Yup, the baryonyx is "inspired by" a painting by John Sibbick in PT. That explains why it looks great--one can hardly go wrong by copying a John Sibbick figure ;D Anthony Beeson is one of the consultants for the new Procon releases (as well as a person who regularly outbids me for dinosaur collectibles on eBay ). And the high-neural spine baryonyx seems part of a campaign *cough*by perfidious Albion*cough* ;D to demote Paul Sereno's Suchomimus to merely Baryonyx terenensis. ;D
