The prototype looked promising, but I do not like the final product.

I never saw a proto for the Display Rex...but the deluxe model looked better..I think due to the colors.. But I planned to re-paint mine anyway..

Looks AWESOME blade! I think the color of the original throws it off, as yours looks amazing!

I'll tell you..after I received it..I was so disappointed I thought of returning it...but since I already had it and the only way to really return it would be with the Collecta...I just jumped in and did my repainting as planned...now I'm pretty impressed myself...lol
Really the price is what hurts this guy...I don't have any of the others yet by Procon...but I would guess they are solid whereas this Rex is pretty much hollow...I would have been much happier at 50.00 instead of 100.00 ....C'est la vie I guess.

The big Procon rex is hollow? For $100 they should at least have made it solid plastic

Pretty much...the arms, ankles and feet are solid..but the rest is hollow. I can only guess it was meant to keep weight down... :?

you made it much bettter blade! very well done! but it is too expensive, I mean I know it's big but I don't think it's worth $100 maybe $60 but whatever

$100 is to much for a hollow dinosaur IMO. Being hollow with ugly colors, it is a borderline Chinasaur.

That's how I felt when I received it...so let down...and 115.00 including ship...just too much..really. I do love my repaint though and it stands out..and is more in scale with the figures..and I'm making excuses...but I am pleased with it...in no small way because you guys like it so much as well..thanks !
I got my notice today that Link and Pin received their Procon shipment today..the flood waters in the mid west had apparently held them up according the site...so I should be getting the rest of Procons later this week...hope they turned out more like the protos.

And a FINE repaint it is, too! The head - repainted, looks spot-on. The arms need to be replaced. Depending on the size, perhaps arms from a Hasbro Bull TRex might do? Of course you'd have to modify them a bit, and use some putty and a wire, but its easily doable. Seeing the deficiencies of that critter (and its obvious copying of the Papo TRex), I am starting to think that maybe I ought to buy another Papo TRex and customize it into that pose to go along with my running Papo Trex.....hmmmm....
